Do not send money or hand over gold or jewellery. No one can double gold or produce treasure. If you are being threatened, keep the messages and contact the police on 999.

How this scam has played out
"Jinn king", healer and gold-doubling frauds
Fraudsters posing as a "king of jinns", healer or holy person promise cures, wealth, a job abroad, a marriage solved or gold doubled, collect money through bKash, Nagad or Rocket, and threaten harm to the family when the victim stops paying. In July 2026 police in Bhola arrested four people accused of taking about Tk 15 lakh of gold from 17 women with a promise to double it by summoning a jinn.
